Final Fantasy IV DS Developers Office
The Developers Office in the DS version is almost completely different from the others, without looking different. Rather than the familiar names and enemies you are now accustomed to, there is new enemies, and new people to talk to. The development team for the DS remake resides in here, rather than the IV team who did the original classic. They will fill you in on the making of the DS port of IV, and some will even bring you into battle.
As is always the case, there is a Lustful Lali-Ho magazine in the small room, where the guy is sleeping in bed. If you open it, it is about the same as before. Calcobrina music plays, screen changes color, etc. But in the DS version of the game, you have another option. You can take it to the figure in the dark cloak in the first room. You know the one with his back to the camera. Use the book, and he will begin talking to you. I cannot recall if there is a battle, but even if there is…you do not actually DIE in the Developers Office :-)
Another new thing is the mysterious chest in the Northeastern room. When you open it, you will get a “Kilobyte of Memory” item. And just when you are about to go into the menu and check out what it is, the black mage next to you suddenly decides he might need it. Yup, that is right…you lose it. And that is about all there is to the Developers Office. It is neat to stop by and get all the info on the behind the scenes of the games. Challenge a few of the people in battle, and just relax from the main story for a bit.
My apologies for not having a Developers Office bestiary, but I do not know what the new enemies stats are, nor are there any good screenshots of them ATM. If I can get my hands on this information, I will surely put it into the website.
